OSSTET 2024 Examination Date 

The Odisha Staff Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 for Paper I and II is scheduled for January 19, 2024, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The exam will consist of a total of 150 multiple-choice questions from various sections.

Important Note: Paper I and II exam will be held on schedule from 09:00 am to 11:30 pm and 01:30 pm and 04:00 pm, respectively.

Eligibility criteria for the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2024 Paper I and II in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows.

Educational Qualification 

Paper I:

• Trained Graduate Arts:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Commerce with 50% marks. OR
  • Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed from NCTE Recognised Institution. OR
  • Four-year integrated B.A.B.Ed from NCTE Recognised Institution.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Commerce with 50% marks. OR
• Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed from NCTE Recognised Institution. OR
• Four-year integrated B.A.B.Ed from NCTE Recognised Institution.
• Trained Graduate Science (PCM/CBZ):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science/B.Tech/B.E. with 50% marks. OR
  • Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed from NCTE Recognised Institution. OR
  • Four-year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed from NCTE Recognised Institution.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science/B.Tech/B.E. with 50% marks. OR
• Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed from NCTE Recognised Institution. OR
• Four-year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed from NCTE Recognised Institution.
• Hindi Teacher:
  • Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as a subject with 50% marks.
  • Any one of the specified training qualifications.
• Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as a subject with 50% marks.
• Any one of the specified training qualifications.
• Classical Teacher (Sanskrit):
  • Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as a subject with 50% marks. OR
  • Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit) from a Recognised University/Institution. OR
  • Shastri (Sanskrit) with 50% marks and Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit) from a Recognised University/Institution.
• Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as a subject with 50% marks. OR
• Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit) from a Recognised University/Institution. OR
• Shastri (Sanskrit) with 50% marks and Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit) from a Recognised University/Institution.
• Classical Teacher (Urdu):
  • Alim with 50% marks. OR
  • B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. from a NCTE Recognised University/Institution. OR
  • B.A. (Persian) with 50% marks and B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. from a NCTE Recognised University/Institution.
• Alim with 50% marks. OR
• B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. from a NCTE Recognised University/Institution. OR
• B.A. (Persian) with 50% marks and B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. from a NCTE Recognised University/Institution.
• Classical Teacher (Telugu):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Telugu as a subject with 50% marks. OR
  • Telugu B.Ed. from a University/Institution recognized by NCTE.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Telugu as a subject with 50% marks. OR
• Telugu B.Ed. from a University/Institution recognized by NCTE.

Paper II:

• Physical Education Teacher:
  • +2 or its equivalent examination with 50% marks.
  • C.P.Ed./B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. from a recognized Board/University.
• +2 or its equivalent examination with 50% marks.
• C.P.Ed./B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. from a recognized Board/University.

Age Limit 

• Paper I & II: An individual’s age must be below 21 and above 32 years to sit the OSSTET 2024 for Paper I or II.

OSSTET 2024 Registration Fee

In order to apply for the Odisha State Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 for Paper I or II through the online portal, an applicant must pay the application fee of ₹500 or ₹300, depending on their category.

OSSTET 2024 Cut Off Marks 

Candidates participating in the OSSTET 2024 must be aware that achieving at least the minimum qualifying marks is mandatory to pass the exam.
